To Ibis Wines

Ibis Wines is a small vineyard and winery located just north of Orange City, near the Botanical Gardens.

The vineyard was established in 1988 on the site of a previous family orchard dating from 1922. A new winery / cellar door was opened in 1998.

All of our wines are made on the property using small scale equipment. Pressing is by basket press and maturation of red is in French and american oak barriques. This process can be seen in operation during the months of March to May.

The winery offers a spacious and comfortable tasting room, open and enclosed eating areas, and plenty of room for the family to enjoy some fresh air in a rustic setting.

Your Hosts

Susan Sanders & winemaker Phil Stevenson are your hosts when visiting the tasting room. Phil is also more than willing to share with you his thoughts on high country wine making, and the trials and tribulations of growing grapes in such a region.

Both Sue and Phil have a long association with the Orange Region and are a fount of knowledge when it comes to the area.

Special Note
The winery is great place to visit in any season with extensive shaded areas to enjoy a tasting or picnic in the warmer months and a spacious tasting room with two wood fires for the winter.

Our Cellar Door is open Weekends & Public Holidays from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
